Who am I?
I’m an Electronic & Embedded Systems Engineer reading MEng (Fast Track) at Robert Gordon University, building on a First Class BEng from the University of Aberdeen. I enjoy the full stack of hardware work — schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware, and the bring-up that turns it all into something that actually runs.
Most recently I spent a summer at Ashtead Technology as a Product Design Intern, designing a 6-layer, up-to-1 kV high-voltage PCB for a subsea cable-integrity tester — from Altium schematic and layout through SMD rework (0201/BGA/QFN) and factory acceptance testing. I’m drawn to problems where electrical, mechanical, and firmware constraints all have to play nicely together.
Outside of engineering I ran the treasury for the Aberdeen University Archery Club, helped manage BOM and budget for TAU Racing’s Formula Student entry, and completed both Silver and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards — including a solo Bronze expedition across the Outer Hebrides.
